Congratulations to the new H2020 HARMLESS Project consortium

Congratulations to the new Horizon 2020 HARMLESS Project consortium and our colleague - Dr. Agnieszka Gajewicz-Skrętna!

Project entitled: “Advanced High Aspect Ratio and Multicomponent materials: towards comprehensive intelLigent tEsting and Safe by design Strategies” (HARMLESS), implemented by the consortium of 19 partners, coordinated by the Helmholtz Zentrum München, German Research Center for Environmental Health (GmbH ), Germany, received funding from the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme. A research group led by Dr. Agnieszka Gajewicz-Skrętna from the Laboratory of Environmental Chemometrics at the Faculty of Chemistry will be responsible for the tasks of the University of Gdańsk in the project.

The main goal of the HARMLESS project is to develop new tools for an intelligent testing strategy and safe design of second-generation multicomponent nanoparticles. In order to comprehensively characterize the newly designed second-generation nanoparticles and to reliably assess their potential hazard, exposure and risk, the developed tools will integrate both experimental and computational approaches.

The project will be implemented in the years 2021-2024, and the total amount of funding granted is EUR 8 million.
