L'Oréal-UNESCO national award for Dr. Gajewicz

Congratulations to Dr. Agnieszka Gajewicz from the Laboratory of Environmental Chemometrics, Department of Environmental Chemistry and Radiochemistry, Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Gdansk who's research work was recognized and awarded among the other five female scientists of the "L'Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science" national program for the development of chemoinformatics methods, supporting the chemical risk assessment of new and existing chemicals in the environment.

During the 17th edition of "L'Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science", the Programme that is implemented with: UNESCO, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Polish Academy of Sciences, the awards were granted to six women who conduct research in the broad field of life sciences, including: psychology, medicine, biology and chemistry. In addition to receiving scholarships, award-winning researchers take part in international conferences and symposia, in which they promote their scientific achievements not only among researchers, but also among the public, so that they serve the whole of society.
