Prof. Tomasz Puzyn, Dr. Karolina Jagiełło and Dr. Alicja Mikołajczyk nominated to the 2024 LUSH PRIZE

Fifty-five projects from around the world have been shortlisted for the 2024 Lush Prize in 7 categories:

  • Lobbying
  • Major Science Collaboration
  • Political Achievement
  • Public Awareness
  • Science
  • Training
  • Young Researcher.

The scientific team of: Prof. Tomasz Puzyn, Dr. Karolina Jagiello & Dr. Alicja Mikołajczyk representing the QSAR Lab spin-off University of Gdansk company, were nominated in the “Science” category for the project titled: “AOP-Anchored in silico-based NAMs for design safer multicomponent nanomaterials”.

The seven categories represent outstanding work in scientific initiatives to replace animal testing with biologically-relevant, non-animal science, public awareness campaigns to draw attention to ongoing animal tests and political lobbying to end animal testing.

The Lush Prize Judging Panel will meet in February to select the winning projects that will share the £250,000 prize funds (Political Achievement and Major Science Collaboration are non-financial awards). We keep our fingers crossed for our great Colleagues!
